On 21 April a special program performed by Dutch National Ballet will be introduced to the audience. One-act ballets evening titled Back to Bach includes renowned pieces as well as absolutely new ballets.
On 24 and 25 April the Bolshoi theater company will present Jean-Christophe Maillot’s The Taming of the Shrew, premiered back in 2014.
On 25 April for the first time in Russia within the program of the DANCE OPEN Festival soloists with the Vienna State ballet will perform on stage of the Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama theater and present a program exclusively prepared for DANCE OPEN.
Traditionally the final and the most awaited event of the ballet forum is the grand Gala of the world ballet stars. Participants of the Gala are the most famous and outstanding dancers of today. http://www.danceopen.com/en/2015-en/ballet
Educational program is the essential part of the Festival. Master-classes given by dance coaches of the Vaganova Ballet Academy and Mariinsky theater will start on 23 April.
Guests of DANCE OPEN also will have a chance to visit an off-program including public talks and lectures.
